Description

Idk if i managed to capture the idea i had for him exactly, but i really wanted to try and get this handsome guy posted.
I knew exactly what i wanted to aim for when i bred him, and the idea of this semi aquatic living statue has not diminished in the time since then.
I am so so happy with him as a character and i cant wait to draw him some more.

Bio: Ship is a unique creature. He has wandered the marsh lands around Vanaheim for hundreds of years, and many have attempted to capture the strange creature made from living wood, but he is elusive and always seems to reappear back in the marsh the next day. Some say he is the ghost of a noble steed that drowned with his owner, others say the gods blessed a powerful long ship with life after decades of service to its owner. Either way, there is more mystery than fact regarding this creature. He rarely moves while being watched, and most often just appears in different locations in the marsh, remaining a solitary sentinel that watches the seasons pass and provides a source of intrigue for the locals. He does not appear to have any personality traits, however the only thing that is guaranteed to provoke a reaction from the living sculpture is Fire, which creates a state of panic and often leads to those around him being hurt in his frenzy.

HANDLERS NOTES:

• Generally still and shut off from the outside world, so can be touched or even climbed upon when he is in his passive state but DO NOT light a fire or take fire near him!
• Often used as a sunning spot or perch for a large swamp lizard. It is not advised to try and come close when the lizard is present as it is known to be territorial.
• Due to his constant immersion in the swamp waters he has developed weeds, moss and algae that fixes to his wooden hide and can hang or trail from him.
