My, what big teeth you have

SUPER last minute, but we have been having a lot of fun collabing on this and i hope you guys enjoy.

The wind rustled leaves, branches snapped in the underbrush and the gentle breathing of the two Tokota's whispered through the night. Tuaq and Nikki kept their eyes peeled for any sign of the loose Tokota's they were trying to track down. 

Kaniq was used to the big male with her, and the rest of their hunting party just along the path ahead, but the entire event had her on edge. The sight and smell of so many strangers had her hackles up for most of the day and she often let rip low snarls into the dark. Krotla was still pretty young and unlike Solv and Cheza ahead, he often would start, staring into the trees as if expecting her growls to signify the eminent arrival of the boogie man. Nikki murmured to him, patting his shoulder and getting him to focus on her instead of the older halfmane. 

Tuaq laid his own hand on Kaniq's neck. She started, but settled down and stopped growling into the shadows. She still had a lot to learn about dealing with new situations and groups of people and Tokotas. He felt bad. It was his fault she had not been exposed to strangers or socialized properly as a youngster. All she had known was him, and the wild. If he didn't need to avoid people it would have been different. You had to work with the world you lived in, and his was cursed by spirits that enjoyed causing accidents to those around him. 

Hopefully none would befall any in his group tonight.
