Rivervale Billy and squire

Entry for *scaramouche2802's Rivervale Acres Inaugural Show.

This has been done a while but i forgot to upload and just realised the date!!! O.O terrifying!.

ANYWAY! enjoy!

Jeremy stroked the velvety neck of his mount. The big Taimosa stallion had been contentedly puffing away, ears flickering and eyes taking in the scenery around him. It was his first jumping competition and so far the stud had shown no signs of nerves or jitters. He had even popped over the practice jumps with great eagerness, huffing and tugging on the reins for more freedom.

Jeremy had watched as Cavan had ridden the bay stallion Porthos over the jumps, It looks like a nice loose set, not to tricky though he would have to watch his speed and take off. He wasn’t too worried as to the size of the jumps but more about keeping Billy under control and making sure they timed their take off correctly. Sighing he massaged the studs withers, smoothing his man and clearing his mind of anything but the coarse ahead.

He would not think about the current merger nor the business conversation he would soon be having with the Sheikh, nor would he think about his mother’s declining health, or the lack of response he had received after conformation of the delivery of a certain puppy had been sent. The last of the problems had been irking him more and more, he had at least expected some response but the silence was still unbroken.

Billy half spooked, swinging his hindquarters around and staring at the short young gate steward that had approached them. Tightening his grip he patted the muscular neck and nodded at the boy. It was their turn.

Cavan smiled at him as they passed by, Porthos jigging in place and offering a friendly squeal. Billy far bigger, pinned his ears and with a slight shift in his weight let out a small kick sending the smaller Thoroughbred scuttling away with a firm yet laughing bearded creature on his back. Jeremy shook his head as he gathered the reins, that pair would be trouble.

Easing Billy around he loosened up the horses muscles, showing him the set up while he watched the judges waiting for the ok to begin his round.
