WOOT im on a roll with getting all these old artworks uploaded atm. Yes there are still a bunch left for me to post! (i am a terrible hoarder of images!) This one is old so my shading style has changed, my anatomy has changed and overall this feels a little too old for posting. I had a bit this morning of disliking this image so thank goodness for my skype peeps for talking me out of redrawing it as who knows what would have happened.

So, Manny gets it posted and he is going to be opened for Stud but in the future i will give him a spankingly sexy reference. AND without further ado, give my giant tomato butt some luuurvvveeeeeee

(also its the first time he has been drawn digitally since his foal image, what madness is that!

The red stallion had arrived back at the stud farm after the closure of KhanCohban Racing. The farm had been emptied and sold. Manwë had adjusted as he always did, by demanding as much attention as possible. Mark had taken over as Stallion manager after Cavan had taken leave and flown over to the U.S. Every morning without fail, when Mark did his rounds to make sure the studs were all happy and healthy, Manny would be the first to his stall door. His ear splitting greetings causing the other studs to rouse and begin their own calls for food, attention or quiet depending on the horse. Mark would have to go and greet the big guy, rubbing his face and massaging his ears in greeting, or the stud would continue his calls and send Tony, who was in the stall next to him into a sour mood for the rest of the day.

Manny's life had been much quieter since the sale, too quiet for his own liking. Due to the greatly reduced racing string, Ozzie had no need for another stallion under his care, especially one who was not racing. So the tomato had been returned home. Home, where he had no specific discipline. Home, where he had to share attention with more horses than he was used to. All in all it had made him rather frustrated and so he had reverted to troublesome behavior to get attention.

Worst was the chewing, the walls of his stall bore endless teeth marks where he chewed on the walls in boredom. Then came the pacing and the shoving when you did go in with him. In the end he was sent out with the colts to work of the excess energy. He now spends most of the afternoon romping around with the young boys, wrestling and galloping and teaching them their place. To help work of the extra energy it was also decided that he needed a good run every morning and so Harley had been roped in, due to her size and love of insanely physical horses, to gallop him along the beach every day. Seeing the giant red horse with the tiny woman perched on his back thundering down the sands was a joyful sight. He always had to be pulled up with ears pricked, sides heaving and a satisfied gleam in his eye.

In the end it was decided he didn't have the patience for work as a training mount, nor in the dressage ring. His jumping was atrocious and he seemed to enjoy barging through the jumps more than going over them. Ryan tried to work him to see if he would enjoy the fast pace and physical nature of Polo, but Manny seemed to decide that only short bursts of speed were not for him and after he spent a week fighting the young man, Ryan gave up on adding him to his Polo string and handed over the reins to Mark.

In the end no one could figure out a discipline that kept Big Red happy, so he remained under Harleys charge. Giving them both something to look forward to each morning as the sand sprayed behind them. The roaring of the waves and wind echoed the thud of hooves hitting the wet sand. It was in those moments, that Manny seemed finally at home.

Temperament: Manny is a kind, friendly and unbelievably people motivated horse. He adores attention and while he has a poor sense of personal space he does not have a vicious bone in his body. He is always the first to greet you as you enter the barn in the morning, and needs a goodnight scratch before bed, Manny is pretty much a giant puppy dog. He also loves to be physical, and is happiest when he is moving and working his body. His favourite thing in the world is wrestling and play fighting with the younger colts and for that reason has been allocated as the studs Nanny for the young boys.
History: Manny has grown into an amazing young stallion. He wasn't cut out for life as a race horse, but he loved to work and with his eager to please attitude we kept him fit and working on the track as a training companion for the baby racers. He was perfect for teaching them how to deal with the jostle of a race. He never grew out of his lack of personal boundaries and is still rather pushy in demanding attention. However, just remind him with a sharp word and he calms right down. Due to his exposure to all other horses he is a calm fellow even around mares and seems to be all bluster but no bite. We decided to open him for stud even though he never raced properly, it was decided his bloodlines had enough potential and coupled with his eager to please nature, well his foals could be something special.

Awww! Perhaps I shall have one someday! I have been out of the HARPG business for so long and I feel so bad for the people I've gotten foals from but school is wrapping up and I'm getting the itch to draw again.
