Oh dear.. the baby we have been watching for... all i can say is wow.. i left the shading plain on this to keep his markings perfect!

i always seem to have trouble drawing arabians..... should practice more.. its the light build i think.. im much more of a heavier horse person :/

It was late one night weeks after the foaling was projected that we got the long awaited call from Brazen Fields. Fervid had foaled at long last, without any complications. It was a colt and from their description he was a beauty.

We sent our groom Ryan Jacobs over with the owner of KhC, Margaret Boal to see him.

On arival we were shown to the paddock where we could see fervid grazing happily under the trees, but the colt was nowhere to be seen.

"well, looks like we've got an independant one" Ryan remarked

"hes like that, he changes every day" replied the stable manager

all of a sudden a brown and white blur appeared over the hill, floating with a loose and springy gait before rearing and leaping in the air. Margaret walked through the gate and called to him. He paused glancing in her direction before trotting over.

"hey big boy, we have waited quite a while for you to arrive!" margaret chuckled

The colt whickered at her pressing into the ear scratch he was receiving. Ryan ducked into the paddock to meet him, and offered his hand for inspection. The colt squealed and kicked out.

"jeeze, hes a capricious little bugger aint he!" ryan jumped back.

Margaret laughed, "hes definatley a wild one, but hes got more oomph than just being fickle. did you see that trot"

"hrrmm" Ryan grunted "how about Capriccioso, its italian it means Lively and free, with great style"

"perfect"

the colt had retreated to the top of the hill, when they turned back to him he called loudley to his dam before trotting off and out of sight.

"Ohh he has a big future ahead of him" Margaret laughed.
