WOOT COLLAB TIEM AGAIN!!

This time however its been in the works for a while, and lost in the abyss that is my computer folders! 

This was both frustrating, time consuming and very interesting to complete. Its always nice seeing how other people work and mixing up different styles, and i am really excited with how this collab turned out. I think my favourite parts are the Salmon and the fire in general, and the inclusion of Tuaq and Wayas's individual Gers was a lot of fun to do. 

There will definitely be more collabs in the future, i am having way too much fun arting with other people!

The steady rhythm of Tuaq's hand stroking Kaniq's shoulder was as soothing to him as it was to her. It was a habit that he had started when she was a pup as a relaxation que and came in handy when she was slightly anxious. In this case, meeting new people definitely counted. 

He had seen Waya around the camp sight several times, however his natural caution about strangers and her strange stillness meant they had never really interacted. Anna and Nikki had been encouraging him recently to really interact with the other tribe members, to form some bonds, make some friends. However, the knowledge that he did not plan on staying longer than he had to, and the fact that any friendships he made would mean pain and loneliness for him when he left made him unwilling to really invest in the tribe. Way had seemed like a good middle ground. She was a skilled hunter, didn't talk too much, and wouldn't post too much danger of triggering painful memories on his part.  

They had spent the day scouting the tribe and managed to catch some food for an evening meal when they returned. Kaniq had been nervous and bristly for the first hour working alongside the Dire, whose confident and powerful personality had her on edge, but once they were working and nothing bad happened she had calmed and focused on their task. In the end he had enjoyed their day almost as much as his other group trips with Anna and Siluk. 

They had returned and Waya had invited him to share her fire for the meal. The young pup, who Tuaq had begun to call Deniigi, for his bullheaded determination to be included, had scampered over to join them and spent the cook time pouncing on Kaniq's tail, much to her annoyance. Waya's other Tokota's joined them and a pup of similar age soon distracted Igi and allowed Kaniq to settle again and Tuaq to enjoy the company and a good meal.

He settled back and enjoyed the crackling of the fire and the warmth in his stomach. The pups were playing with an antler and the adult Tokota's all seemed very relaxed and happy. The stars sparkled above and although the spirit lights were not out, Tuaq could almost feel the energy in the air. The Dire, Artemisia, turned her snout skyward and let out a long lilting cry. The light Tundra Yew soon followed suit and they were joined by Kaniq as they sang to the spirits. 

The song grew and changed as several cries from further into camp echoed the call. Tuaq looked over as the normally quiet Waya suddenly joined the singing, and smiling to himself he shrugged and added his voice to the choir.
