A cartoon I;ve seen shows that antlers can be DEATH to the bearer.
A stag seeking escape from hunters got his antlers hopelessly tangled in a bush. He was still trying to smash his way out when the lead archer fired his arrow. ... Now his head is mounted on a plaque and the treacherous antlers hold the very quiver of arrows that ended him.
